Jason's life has been a symphony of sound from day one, with a career as a touring musician spanning most of his adult years. His four-year stint in the high school jazz band was the catalyst, honing his skills in composition, sight-reading, and performance under pressure, setting the stage for a lifetime of making music that resonates with audiences everywhere.
Jason toured extensively with "The Pipe Circus" for 13 years, performing at numerous outdoor festivals, including five consecutive appearances at Summerfest, as well as indoor clubs across 13 midwestern states. The band maintained a rigorous schedule, playing between 180 and 235 shows annually for nearly a decade. During this time, they released three CDs and penned numerous songs, earning four W.A.M.I. Awards, including "Best R&B Group" in 2003.
During a temporary break from TPC, Jason briefly performed with Middleworld, a progressive rock band from Madison, which won the 2004 M.A.M.A. Award for "Best Metal Band" in Madison. He has also had the opportunity to share the stage with notable acts including Owl City, The Doobie Brothers, REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent, Rare Earth, Mushroom Head, Cold, Powerman 5000, Breaking Benjamin, Dope, Ekoostik Hookah, Kaleido, Whiskey Myers, and others.
In 2011, Jason embarked on a new musical journey, performing solo acoustic sets throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Over time, he has expanded his act to incorporate a Chapman Stick, drum pads, and a looper, effectively transforming into a one-man band. This evolution allows him to distill a broad spectrum of influences and experiences into a dynamic, high-energy performance. Jason's shows seamlessly blend various genres, including reggae, funk, R&B, punk rock, alt-rock, and yacht rock, showcasing his ability to craft captivating original pieces and reinterpret timeless covers spanning five decades. His passionate performances are a testament to his skill, making each show an unforgettable experience.
Jason is also one fourth of an all original punk band called "Faster Faster Faster". F3 released a full length CD "Modern Ghost Stories..." (2018), EP “Rabbit Hole” (2022), CD “Speil” (2023). Jason was part of "Kelsey Miles" live/studio band. Kelsey Miles released a full-length album in 2019 called "Play It Again".
Jason released a solo CD on all streaming media platforms.
