I have been in the music business for several decades. Part of my work has been to locate unusual, standout talent who might have global impact and appeal. Jason Ji is one of those. His guitar playing, stage presence and natural joy and energy fill a room in a way that will make your event truly successful. We had a full PA set up because he also played with guitar with our 8-man band. But you could have him join with just his guitar and amp, and he would make an hour or two one of the more impactful events and moments. Highly--highly-- recommend working with him. Fingerstyle guitar music- combines the whole band into one instrument, from basslines to rhythmic percussion to the main melody. It strikes the perfect balance between a pleasing yet unique style of listening experience, while not intruding on conversations- because there will be no vocals to compete with!
Jason Ji is an Australian-Chinese fingerstyle guitarist and composer specializing in acoustic fingerstyle guitar. He combines percussive guitar with Travis thumb-picking, building his own band on one acoustic guitar. Originally classically trained, Jason mixes classical techniques with folk, pop, and rock influences—serving up this unique cocktail of sounds to elevate your event.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music (21’) with Summa Cum Laude honors, Jason is a finalist at the 2024 International Finger Style Guitar Championships. He has captivated audiences worldwide with performances at prestigious venues all over the globe such as The Carnegie Hall (Zankel Hall & Weill Recital Hall) NYC, Agganis Arena in Boston, MA, The Ellington Jazz Club and the Perth Concert Hall in Perth, Australia, as well as being the only person sent from the US to participate in China’s Got Talent Season 6, where he received unanimous 4 yeses from the judges.
