Price Range: $150-1000
Languages: English, Spanish
We offer an adaptable set up suitable for calming background music or a center show to entertain the attendees of your event. Depending on length of event, we generally play in 45-60 minute sets with a small break every hour. Our songs include anything from 1920s jazz classics to more modern styles, and the setlist is tailor made for each event based on the desired ambience of the host. Coordination will take place with the bandleader, trumpeter Alec Baca, who can set up the group based on your preferences (e.g. number of players, any particular desired instruments, whether vocalist will be included, budget). We additionally can provide a microphone and speaker if needed to be used for any announcements during your event during a break in our performance.
Established in 2022, Alec Baca’s Jazz In Vivo (or Jazz In Vivo for short), is a Milwaukee-area jazz combo playing classic swing, bossa nova, bebop, modern jazz, and everything in between. In Vivo is a latin-based scientific term loosely translating to alive, signifying the spontaneous and captivating musical moments the group strive to create as they perform.
The group is led by trumpeter Alec Baca, and is generally in a 3-5 person set up depending on the event.
Our style is that of a smooth and crisp sound that honors the great traditions of jazz, while also creating innovation through new originals and arrangements.
For set up, spacing depends on the size of the group but at a minimum a 12' by 12' area would be required starting with the trio set up. We are able to play indoors or outdoors. Our only other requirement is electrical access.
