I'm a singer, guitarist, pianist and I play in a multitude of styles (folk, rock, jazz, pop, blues, americana). I have a repertoire of over 1,500 cover songs across many genres across 8 decades including 1960s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000's. My performances are appropriate for large to small groups of any age and I always gets people dancing, singing and feeling great!

I'm a strong believer in properly set expectations. GigSalad delivered ten responses within minutes of my request. I chose Jeff from the video clips in his profile. We had brief text conversation and agreed on the event. From the moment Jeff arrived (45 minutes before my event) to the time he was packing up for the night, he displayed a gracious and warm presence. Throughout the night he became a friend you'd always want around. Jeff's musical talent was spot on occasionally layering in lyrical elements from what he'd learned about the people at the event. We had a significant age range of attendees. Jeff handled all requests with ease, put together some great mash-ups, and even carved up an original ballad.
We'll absolutely bring Jeff back for more events at the Oasis. Expectations were all underpromised and over-delivered. Everybody loves Jeff.

Jeff is an enormous talent, a dynamo in the music industry from New York to San Diego. His repertoire is vast, and he draws on it effortlessly in a refreshing combination of covers and groundbreaking originals. Jeff Jacobs is one of the most talented singer/songwriters that I know. We have hired him for many concerts to perform at our church, house concerts at our home and friends have hired him for concerts in their home. I have known him for over 10 years. A new bright light shines on our San Diego music scene in Jeff Jacobs. From the first time I saw him perform at a Lestats open mic, I knew he was special. His repertoire is vast and his songs, both originals and covers, are are beautiful musically and lyrically, but his stage presence is even more so. Relaxed and full of humor, his emotions pour freely and connect where it counts most: the heart. Most recently he was a standout at the memorial event for Jaime Shadowlight where he performed a song of his that she loved, “Star Child”, a moment that truly touched infinity.

What to Expect
*BOOKING JEFF*
When you book Jeff, he'll discuss what style of music you envision at your event. He's happy to build you a custom setlist based on your musical preferences and will also provide you with a list of songs.
*INSTRUMENTATION*
Jeff plays all kinds of instruments, but guitar & vocals is his bread & butter. He also plays piano and is classically trained. Typically, Jeff will only bring one instrument to a gig. But if you wish Jeff to set up an extra instrument (for example, both piano and guitar), Jeff will charge an additional $100 fee for that. If you want him to play ukulele, he'll gladly throw that in for free!
*STRESS-FREE SETUP AND ARRIVAL*
Not only is Jeff a consumate musician, but he is is an experienced sound engineer who knows his way around sound gear. He brings his own PA & mics and arrives early to set everything up, so you can expect a hassle-free experience. Performances of any length (anywhere from 2-6 hours) are no problem. After a quick break to eat/drink, it's right back to the fun!

Jeff Jacobs is a multi-talented guitarist, pianist, singer, songwriter, teacher and producer.
His performing is likened to Jason Mraz & Billy Joel. His songwriting is likened to James Taylor and Jeff Buckley, he weaves through a multitude of styles, ranging from folk, to blues, to even broadway and country.
Jeff’s powerful vocals and hook-infused melodies have been winning over audiences in 5 continents for the past 15 years. His previous life was lived in New York City where he founded his own songwriter series, hosted yoga & music rooftop sessions, and had his songs placed on major network television shows. The story of his quarantine balcony concert series has been featured on CBS and NBC and in the New York Post.
Since moving to San Diego in 2023, Jeff has hosted open mics, jams, and, was a featured musical performer at Songwriter Sanctuary, the Secret Garden Poetry Society, as well as performed at the Joshua Tree Music Festival, and has opened for acts like Dispatch, Guster & OAR. He also hosts a monthly jam series for musicians of all skill levels in Pacific Beach called "The Jam Along"
Learning that music is an international language that speaks to and connects people of different ages and backgrounds has been a joy for Jeff. He is happiest when he’s spreading good vibes, getting people dancing and in their feels, and he'd be delighted to perform at your next event!
