I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana singing in church. The first song I ever sang was"Shake The Devil Off" by an unknown gospel artist that I cannot recall. I was young, so just the mere thought that I could sing about shaking the "devil" off was cool to me. After being forced to move to Houston due to hurricane Katrina, I discovered my thirst for music. I was in choir for a year in middle school and all four years of high school, competing in various All-State and Solo and Ensemble competitions. I then realized around my senior year of high school that music was really...all I wanted to do. Freshman year of College I attended Belhaven University as a Music Ministry major, since it was a Christian University, with a emphasis in Voice. It was fine, but after a year and a half I had to decided if it'd be best for me to either relocate to the city of jazz, New Orleans, or to return home and save money at my local community college in Houston. And of course as a struggling college student, home it was. There I continued to pursue my career as a vocalist and musician. As time progressed and things changed, I found myself making my own music, producing my own tracks and continuing to write lyrics to songs I hoped would one day change the world. After long hard days of going back and forth in my mind trying to decided what would be the best way to go, I thought to myself, "Why not do what brings you the most joy everyday?" Today I am a proud Audio Recording and Technology Major attaining an Associate degree at Houston Community College Spring Branch campus. I chose the road that best fit the purpose and will for my life. With vocal lessons still in place and studio sessions everyday, I feel I am in a great position to fulfill my dream of becoming one of the best singer/song-writers the world has ever seen.
