Jeran Plumacher is a professional drummer, percussionist, and drum tech boasting an assorted expertise and a rich history of work and study with some of the industry’s most impactful artists, musicians, and band leaders.
Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Jeran found his way behind the kit at the age of 10 and began playing professionally by just 13 years old under the direction of prominent locals such as Michael Shrieve (Santana), Alan White (Yes, Plastic Ono Band), and Scott Rockenfield (Queensrÿche). With their influence, the young drummer quickly developed a diverse skill set, employing proficiencies in rock, R&B, funk, jazz, heavy metal, and more.
In the years to come, Plumacher would go on to study world percussion, work in A&R, manage a recording studio, and lead his own projects achieving reasonable success in the Seattle music scene. Simultaneously, he pursued an independent career performing, recording, and working as a drum tech for artists across the United States. As a result of these efforts, the music generalist has rocked with the likes of bass legend Andrew Gouche, Kim Burrell, Tony Royster Jr., Isaiah Sharkey, and many more. As fate would have it, Gouche would become a mentor for the dream-chaser, pushing Jeran to sharpen his skills, reach higher, and expand his horizons beyond the immediate.
Over the years, Jeran found meaningful connection in Chicago. With this newfound inspiration, the drummer packed his gear and headed east to the Second City. Since his move to Chicago in early 2022, Plumacher has remained busy gigging, recording, managing a small handful of local artists, and has further developed his playing by exploring gospel and contemporary worship styles. Most recently, Jeran Plumacher is contributing to feature film compositions and continuing to push for greater opportunities with touring crews and long term contracts.
