Overnite Oats gave a beautiful performance, from upbeat, head-turning singing, to romantic, sweet, and peaceful renditions. They performed at our nursing home for a Thanksgiving lunch and they were very professional and gracious. Both the residents and staff loved them! One patient commented that Ms. Jill looked “like a movie actress” haha. It was very heartwarming to see some of our older patients who can often feel restless or confused, be enamored with their performance and singing along to Elvis songs so joyfully as if they were transported back to their teenage youth. I was very grateful that they came on a holiday and were so nice to our residents, I hope they know they made what would otherwise be a lonely day for them without family, feel more special. They made a difference to their day, and we would definitely rebook again! Love them and hope they’d want to perform for our residents again soon! :,)

We had Jill and Gordon as our wedding band and they were so amazing to work with. They were kind and flexible when we had to rearrange our schedule due to COVID, and really put my worries at ease. They also took song requests for our big day to learn in advance, which i really appreciated.
On the night of the event, Jill and Gordon were AMAZING. Jill has such a beautiful voice, and we got so many compliments about the music. They were so sweet to our wedding guests and brought an amazing energy to our event. Our wedding guests LOVED them so much! (And of course I did too!)

We booked Jill and Gordon for our wedding on July 10th, and it was one of the best decisions we made! They were very friendly and communicative throughout the planning stages, and learned new songs (including two K-pop oldies!) for our wedding ceremony processional and recessional. Jill has the loveliest voice and it’s such a special thing to have someone perform beautiful love songs in celebration of your love. Highly recommend having them at your wedding, they are such talented and classy performers. Hoping to go see them performing live at a music venue some day soon!

I had my wedding this past weekend and Jill and her band were simply amazing. While my family and I were looking for bands to perform at our wedding, we did a ton of research. We are very particular about the music at our wedding and we wanted the music to have a classic feel but also feel very authentic and personalized. We wanted the music to appeal to all of our guests and we had guests in their 20s up to their 80s, and from many different ethnic backgrounds with different tastes in music. Right as soon as we heard Jill and Gordon, we knew they were the band for us. Jill's communication was excellent and she answered all of my questions right away. I had songs that I knew I wanted Jill to play and she was perfectly fine with taking requests. On the actual wedding day, Jill and Gordon came super early to set up. They started playing right as guests were entering the ceremony area. They performed during the wedding party procession and recession and then immediately moved to where we had cocktail hour to continue playing. Then Jill had more members of her band come to perform during the reception. We had a wonderful bassist, pianist, and drummer, in addition to vocals. They were so amazing! So many people came up to me to tell me how wonderful they were. All of these people said that her voice was the best they have ever heard. I had an auntie in her 80s in tears because Jill and her band played music that she grew up with and she said it brought back the most amazing memories for her. I had many people tell me they wish they weren't married yet or wanted to have another wedding so that they could have Jill and her band perform for them! Jill and Gordon and their band made our wedding the best ever. My family and I all agree that our best wedding memories were created and enhanced because of Jill and her band and their wonderful music. If you are looking for musicians who are super reliable, accommodating, kind, talented, and overall wonderful performers and people, they are the ones for you! Stop searching and book them asap! :)

This is the second time we hired her for our kids birthday party and Once again, I was the genius for hiring Jill! First, she has a gorgeous voice obviously. When I first heard her samples on here I immediately knew she would be perfect to perform our wedding song. I actually hired Jill way before any other wedding vendors and before I even knew exactly where in So Cal we would be lol.
But she is also so sweet, understanding, and easy to work with and made our event stress-free, especially considering that our officiant nonchalantly decided to stroll in over an hour late!
She worked with me over a song list and even learned songs and was very accommodating with my corny song requests lollll.
Jill and Gordon are total professionals and arrived super early to get everything set up and came prepared which was SO appreciated.
When she played and sang our wedding song I Choose You, my entire family and I practically started sobbing like babies because it was so beautiful!!! We invited Jill and Gordon to come out and play for our baby shower at an out of the way property we rented deep in Topanga Canyon. After spending a little time checking out videos online and considering the venue and the atmosphere, it made perfect sense to have them there and added a very lively and engaging side to the event. They played a lot of great and timeless covers, some of Jill's own compositions as well as a few requests along the way. Jill has a truly wonderful voice, and Gordon's backup and guitar really filled out the sound well. Beyond the performance itself, they were two of the nicest people you could meet, were punctual, gracious, and felt right at home at something as intimate as a baby shower. Communication leading up to the event and on the day of the shower was amazing, and the GigSalad process was smooth and easy. Our shower was just as we had envisioned it, and I can't thank Jill and Gordon enough for their talented efforts to make it even better. Highly recommend! ~Mark

I had a luau for my son's 16th birthday last night and wanted to make it memorable. Jill was the highlight of the night. She played and sang beautifully. Jill and her banjo player (don't remember his name) were a wonderful duo! They played a mix of oldies, folky songs and a couple "kid" songs like "you are my sunshine" (which we had requested prior to the event) and a cute rendition of Jungle Book song "I want to be like you". The adults and kiddos alike all very much enjoyed the music. They brought instruments to join along which made it really fun for the kids. They also endured an hour in the sun on our roof deck with smiles on their faces, we so appreciated it! Highly recommend!
We hired Jill and her partner for our son's first birthday. My son could not take his eyes off them for their whole set except when he was soothed to sleep for his much needed nap time. Our guest really enjoyed their music also. Thanks Jill!!

I am usually pretty useless at planning things. My wife planned all the food and the decorations and every time we host things, my one job is to just get out the way. So for the boys birthday, I decided to book Jill and it turned to be the best thing at the party. Yes, it was best decision I made because every time people complemented us on the entertainment, I would look at my wife and give her a smirk. Anyways, I am glad I booked them. They're not only perfect for kid songs but they sing songs that adults love as well.
Booking Jill was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was proposing to my fiancé last night. During the entire two weeks planing, she managed to stay in contact all the time, responded to my every message fast and clear.
And her voice, oh my holy god her voice was just sooo beautiful. Me and my fiancé both cried when I took out the ring, half of the reasons went to Jill's touching voice. The minute I heard Jill's voice in one of her videos, I knew she would be perfect for our wedding reception. She sang all of our favorite love songs (she takes requests if you let her know in advance) and the guests just raved about how much they loved dancing to her. My band and I can adapt to any room, mood, occasion, or event. We dress to impress and can work with your color scheme, decade, or theme. I always put hours of time into crafting the perfect setlist for your event based on who you are, what music you like, where the event will be, and who will attend. I understand that when planning a party, you have a lot on your plate, so once you book me you won't need to worry about the music. I will communicate as much or as little as you need :)
I can bring in more musicians for a fuller sound. If you'd like upright bass, piano, guitar, percussion, or horns, let me know and you can book my band!
If you have a genre in mind, tell me in advance what types of songs you want to hear most and I will accommodate. I can send you a list of songs we perform often and you can choose your favorites.

Hello! I'm Jill, I was born and raised in Southern California. Singing is my greatest passion. I adore performing jazz standards from the 20s to the 40s, but I also enjoy other genres and write my own songs.
I'm inspired by Julie Andrews, Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Debbie Reynolds, and Regina Spektor. Jazz, big band, and movie-musicals spoke to me very early on, and I try to bring the essence of these genres into my performances. I studied at Sarah Lawrence College in New York and then moved to NYC to jumpstart my career. I've been back in Southern California since 2016.
In my free time, I like to hang out with my poodle, tie dye, garden, spend time with my big family, and roller skate!
We'll need at least one functioning outlet. Please make sure outlet is working before the event. We can provide a battery powered speaker (if no outlet is available), we just need to know to bring it in advance.
If the event is outdoors in warm weather, I need the performance space to be in the shade. If shade can't be provided, please let me know in advance. If we're outdoors in the cold, a heat source nearby is greatly appreciated.
Other than that, we need enough room for the band to stand and play. Pretty simple!
