Jim Smiley is a Las Vegas based DJ with over 19 years of experience as a DJ, performer, and artist. Jim has enjoyed both National & International exposure throughout his career. Including working as Carnival Cruise Line’s DJ on Carnival Pride. Sharing the stage with Joe Budden of The Joe Budden Podcast on Spotify. As well as appearing at events with 50 Cent, Mike Tyson, Kxng Crooked of Eminem’s Shady Records, The Chainsmokers & the 2004 Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. As well as the 2022 Grammy’s.

Jim has deejayed & headlined in numerous events on Fremont Street, the grand opening Dirt Dog in downtown Las Vegas, Quiet Event’s Silent Disco at Container Park, & Cats Meow among others. As well as providing DJ services for numerous restaurant openings in the LV area including: 7 Leaves Tea, Master Kim’s Korean BBQ in Town Square, the Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, & New York New York hotels on the Las Vegas strip. Jim is also a wedding DJ during the wedding season at Vegas weddings. Where he acts as DJ and M.C.

Originally from Illinois, Jim Smiley attended Columbia College in Chicago to study music and the science of sound while deejaying the local bars and venues as well as weddings throughout the Midwest. “The Midwest taught me versatility. Deejaying in Chicago is not the same as it is in St. Louis. Playing in Southern Illinois isn’t the same as Central Illinois. Living there I expanded my music library to include every genre. From House to Country. To Classic Rock to Hip-Hop and every genre and subgenre in between. The Midwest is a melting pot, and it helped me become the best DJ I can be.”

After successfully starting his DJ career in the Midwest Jim decided to expand his brand to the West Coast. Las Vegas is the place he chose to relocate and evolve as a DJ.

Always arriving with high energy and enthusiasm, Jim takes pride in being an Open Format DJ and familiarizing himself with all genres of music. His passion lies with Hip-Hop and EDM. Smiley uses any opportunity to blend the genres together to create something fresh and exciting for each event.

A natural when it comes to performance, Jim‘s YouTube page which he started in 2019 has already amassed over 40,000 views worldwide. Jim brings energy, passion, his musical expertise and knowledge to everything that he’s a part of. Music is his first love and he continues to strive to be the best possible DJ.
