Joanie Calem led a nature themed family sing-along concert for our park district summer concert series. The night was exactly what we were aiming for. Our multi-generational audience clapped, sang, and smiled along the whole time. Joanie's authentic and casual presentation felt magnetic, and little kids were up on stage with her the whole time showing off their interpretive dance skills. Adorable! Thank you, Joanie.

Joanie is wonderful! She did a great job with all of our kids, Infants - Preschool. Joanie is great at going with the flow of the kids and keeping them entertained. The kids loved her and loved getting up and dancing to be part of the show. I gave Joanie the curriculum theme and she came with lots of songs that had to do with it. We can't wait to have Joanie out again!

Joanie just played music for my sons first birthday party and everyone enjoyed her performance!! She had something for everyone and got all the children included in on the musical fun! WONDERFUL performance. Engaging, interactive, fun, and the perfect length of time for the little ones. Puppets, music, shakers, and dancing was a perfect addition to our little one's third birthday. We will definitely recommend or even ask her back next year!

About
Joanie Calem is a folk musician, singer/song-writer and teacher.
She performs folk music in a variety of settings, leading song programs for audiences of all ages, and teaches privately and in schools. Joanie's goal is to invite her audiences to share a sense of creating community through singing and playing together.
Accompanied by a variety of age-appropriate puppets and instruments, Joanie brings songs and stories to life by inviting the audience's participation in numerous different ways.
Joanie offers a variety of musical events, from song and story programs, to parenting conversations, and musical workshops on community building and inclusion of all.
Joanie has provided musical experiences for audiences of all ages, and, having lived in a variety of countries, is also very skilled at creating a sense of home for diverse audiences.
