Roaring 20's, Rock 'N Roll, Golden Oldies from the 30,s-40's-50's, Holiday, Broadway & Show Tunes, Country, etc.) Our larger 2 hour shows are usually variety shows with lots of audience interaction, opportunities for people to dance, and more.... You may learn a little about the songs as Leonard tells something about each song he introduces! Our variety shows are full of songs of all different styles, genres and time periods! Something for everyone and we try to play to the audience. Shows over 2 hours are intermingled with Leonard & Jody DJ-ing original artist music for your enjoyment. If you are planning a special event and need specific songs, we will try our best to get them for you as long as we have enough notice to find them. We treat all our clients with respect as we want their function to be the best it can be, with people talking about how much they enjoyed it long after the event is over.

Performing professionally for over 22 years, JODY AND HER SIDEKICK, LEONARD JOHNSON - EMCEE & SOUNDMAN, will delight and entertain your audience. Engaging the audience and getting everyone involved in the show is their specialty. Jody performs to professional performance tracks keyed and tempoed to her voice.
Their several sound systems can accommodate almost any venue, large or small. Jody performs at CORPORATE FUNCTIONS, 55 Communities, Reunions (Family, Class, Military), Wedding Receptions, AM Legions, Eagles Clubs, VFW'S, Elks, Amvets, Moose Clubs, Other Fraternal Organizations, Women's Clubs and Organizations, Corporate Parties & Picnics, Holiday Events, Retirement-Nursing & Assisted Living Facilities, Senior Citizen Centers, Private Parties(Birthday, Anniversary, Retirement, Etc.), Patriotic Events, Ethnic Clubs, Festivals & Fairs, RV Resorts & Parks (performing in Florida twice a year), Country Clubs, Opera Houses, Theaters and more.....
Jody has always loved music! Even before she could walk, she used to hold on to the coffee table and sway and sing along with the "June Taylor Dancers" on TV's Jackie Gleason Show! At age 4, she twirled baton and was the marching mascot for the Chili (Indiana) High School Polar Bears.
Always active in band and choir throughout elementary and high school, Jody performed in many plays, musical variety shows, and concerts.
At Purdue University, where she graduated with a B.A. in Journalism, she also minored in Theater and performed in a few theatrical productions. Her love for the performing arts has never died nor has her strong desire to perform for the public.
After college, music took a back seat while Jody worked to earn a living as a single mother for many years. However, the burning desire to sing and perform never went away and her marvelous voice has stayed with her. Jody had almost given up the dream of ever performing, when she met Leonard Johnson 19 years ago. He took a terrific interest in her abilities and encouraged her to do what she always wanted to do.
Now, Jody sings as her full-time job. She loves it and has such an amazing ability to perform a huge variety of different styles and varieties of songs! She is so lively - not one to just stand in one spot and sing. She and her fiance' love to get the audience involved in the show! What a team! And they are so much fun!
Please book Jody as early as possible. Her schedule fills quickly! You will love all that she offers.
We keep our equipment simple! We normally bring all or own sound equipment to our gigs. We like to know the size of room and Approximate number of people coming so we will know more about what kind of equipment to bring. Usually all we require is a table (card table size or a bit larger) and some kind of beverage to drink (water is fine) and a couple of chairs. We do not have fancy lighting! Jody is the singer and she is plenty of show without fancy lights! If special lighting is required, we require the client to provide it. To date - we've never needed special lighting. Leonard sets his sound equipment out in front of the stage area so that he may hear what the audience hears. He is very particular about the sound! for our longer shows, we like to have a private dressing room so that we may change costumes.

I absolutely love the OLDIES! I only ever had one idol and that was Judy Garland! There have been so many wonderful artists and vocalists - there are too many for me to list that have influenced me. I am not a fan of lots of runs and trills - I love songs where I can understand the words and sing along with them. I must sayt that if I could choose an era to return to, it would be the 40's - that's the music I love the most. Next would be the 50's. I love that old rock 'n roll! But I am a fan of almost all musical styles! And I can sing tons of different styles.
