Joey Lyon is a multi-instrumentalist and singer who specializes in Rock and Roll. With a high-energy, love-filled vibe, he's comfy as the center of attention, or just providing pleasant background soundscapes. Joey makes vocal-driven or instrumental music from guitar or piano, and often delves into Soul, Blues, and Church music.
With notice and for special occasions, he will also pull together a full band, as well as travel long distance. He loves nothing more than creating a program of music to suit the moment.
He was very professional, communication was excellent! So sweet and truly knew what he was doing. We would absolutely work with him again. Highly recommend. He provided a song list from many different genres. Beautifully skilled guitarist. We really enjoyed working with Joey.
Joey had to reschedule, understandably, due to a snow storm that hit Seattle. Communication and flexibility was very appreciated. The music selection was great and he has a wonderful voice and guitar skills. Even through a mask and gusty winds off the Sound! I recommended him highly!
Did an amazing job. Great music, even learned a custom tune for the day. He added a lot to our event.
Joey has a great voice! This project is still ongoing and I'm still placing singing roles. I will be hiring him again for several more singing parts...possibly with a different set of vocals.
Response from Joey Lyon:
Wow this is such great feedback. Thanks a lot, Dylan! Looking forward to the next part of the process, as well as the finished project.
Joey was so easy to work with & provided great entertainment for our nonprofit event! He played covers from all of the decades 60's to 90's, which was perfect for our theme. I would highly recommend using him!
Response from Joey Lyon:
Wow! It feels amazing to read this review. Thanks for the opportunity and for your feedback. All the best, Carina!
On time, organized, receptive to music needs, had a plan. Excellent vocals and song selection. Highly recommend!!
Response from Joey Lyon:
Hey Stuart! Thanks a bunch for a flattering review and a fun, memorable evening. All the best!
I reached out to Joey via GigSalad and he was exceptional the entire process. He was very quick to respond and easy to work with. As I surprised my wife with his performance of one song on our wedding anniversary, he worked to help it be a secret and make the occasion special in every way. Joey's performance was phenomenal and we will always be thankful of his willingness to make our day even more amazing than we ever thought it could be!
Thanks again Joey!
Response from Joey Lyon:
Wow thanks a million Joey! I'm sure I don't deserve such a flattering review but I will definitely receive it and I very much appreciate it. All the best to you both!

Solo: a smattering of covers and originals that work together stylistically and suit the occasion. As someone who's been playing onstage more than ten years, I've played a little of everything. At an intimate event, you'll see me sit and play more reserved tunes with a lot of piano and acoustic guitar. At a more upbeat event, you'll see me jumping back and forth from piano, electric keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars--letting loose.
Band: for special occasions, a dynamically arranged mix of original rock songs and crowd-pleasers; or perhaps a set of genre-specific covers (blues, soul, indie, Beatles, singer-songwriter favorites). I've even performed a rock'n'roll medley comprised of the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" and Eminem's "Lose Yourself."
Joey started playing serious guitar at age 12 and writing love songs at 16. Amidst his study of Composition, poetry, and Jazz guitar at Seattle Pacific University, he released an original LP called What Makes Me Tick, 2012. Since then he's had his fingers in plenty of pots: an Indie solo project (Deep Talks), experimental rock band (Glass Frames), teaching private lessons, and helping with church music.
