Johann Hedemann

Hey I'm Johann, I started writing songs when I was 15. I have been writing ever since. I was learning guitar at the time as well and they both have been progressing and progressing. Lately I have been getting more into the production aspect of music. I love the way a good recording sounds and I want to recreate it. I think it is an advantage to be able to record all my songs with great quality without the help of someone else.
I grew up surfing and competing, and though I don't compete anymore I still surf as much as I can, more or less everyday. I think surfing has influenced my music, it gave me a really beachside feel. When I write songs I try to make them as catchy as possible. I love songwriting, I could get lost in it forever. There is so much to learn and I want to learn it all. I think it would be amazing to make a living being a songwriter. My goal in life is to put out albums and have a lot of people buy them. It would be amazing to see myself in the top 40!
Most of my songs are about different girls. Ever since I was little I would become extremely infatuated with certain girls in an instant. And it wasn't every girl, I was really picky. I like to write really romantic lyrics like you would hear in a Frank Sinatra tune. I am really inspired by Frank Sinatra, the way he phrases the melodies are so amazing. The vibe is so amazing and I try to recreate it. Anytime I really like something in a certain song, I try to pull from it the next time I create a song.
So I create two different genres of music. One is acoustic, pop stuff. And the other is electronic pop. Either way I really enjoy the process of recording, and I hope to put out an album very soon. I have been working long and hard on my music and production abilities so I think I am ready to release some stuff!
