Greetings! I am an acoustic guitar musician who sings, plays harmonica and I have a diverse genre of songs. I prefer gigs such as afternoon gatherings, patios at wineries, cafes, coffee houses yet can cater a performance for any situation with advanced notice.

Expectations from my performances would be gauging the songs around the audience. After all, the audience is the pulse of the room. For me to play all my favorite songs detaches the audience I feel. Interaction is key to making each performance an interactive, enjoyable and relaxing experience. Whether it be background sound for an event or a gig where people come and go, each one takes on it's own personality from the interest of the listener.
Some crowds may prefer the 60's folk style, some may prefer light rock of the 70's, some may prefer 80's/90's genre, some prefer a mix of unexpected variety. I suppose I can summarize by saying most songs are based on what you would hear on WEHM radio from Long Island New York (easily found on the internet at (link hidden))
Greetings,
I have always had interest in music from my teen days and learned guitar at that time. I never truly pursued it as anything consistent as I just played casually. Now as I enter retirement plans from the sales and contracting world I have felt the calling to dive in and offer my services for those who connect with my style of singing and playing.
I do have a diverse list of cover songs and a few originals that can suite most occasions. I do though cater to the afternoon patio "cafe/winery/coffee shop" type crowds but willing to build a performance around any request.
I am a firm believer of easy simplistic set-up. The only requirement is a 120 volt receptacle for the amp and device charger. In some cases where this isn't available I can pre-charge both where AC power wont be needed at all. I can get a few hours out of a pre-charged amp :)

Dana D. said “Michaela is a terrific guitarist who has accompanied me on many gigs. She knows all the standards, as well as many other genres. Audiences always loved…”
