We hired John Allen for my father's memorial service. It was last minute because another musician we booked backed out last minute. John Allen stepped in with the upmost level of professionalism and empathy. He was reliable, punctual, flexible...I could go on. He has a great set up with instruments and sound system. He was exactly what we were wanting and more. Great musician.

John performed during the cocktail period preceding a small family reunion dinner event I held recently. He was the true professional from our early correspondence, through his outstanding performance, to quietly breaking down his sound equipment in another room and exiting the premises as we began to eat dinner.
Throughout his performance he was very tuned into the group of people who attended the event, and beforehand he took extra time (via several emails) to ensure he knew exactly what my expectations were of him and his music. He played a great assortment of classic and contemporary rock, along with some country, pop, and blues guitar ballads.
His guitar playing and vocals added so much to make the evening's event extra special. All in all, I and my guests were exceedingly pleased with John's performance. We would invite him play to play anytime! I unhesitatingly highly recommend him for any event, large or small.
