I am a Berklee alumni and professional musician who has been performing in multiple live settings for over a decade.
I am able to perform as a soloist, guitar with vocals, as an instrumental or vocal duo, and as a jazz or vocal trio (guitar, bass, and drums) I have a full PA system and al the necessary equipment to perform in any of the ensembles mentioned above.
John Dorney is an emerging artist that embodies deep thoughts and feelings in his music while maintaining an intimate and playful touch that sets his music apart.
With breathy vocals reminiscent of John Mayer or Jack Johnson, Dorney also draws from the experiences of growing up in the south by playing with feel from the likes of Tom Petty, The Band, The Allman Brothers, and Little Feat.
Not only does John write, record, and release his own music but he also is a part of an ever growing community of musicians and artists. Dorney has toured the country with AA Americana Chart topping musician Cat Ridgeway and sold out 2000 seat venues opening for the band Under Oath. Going forward he plans to release more music and continue his journey as a creative
