As the lead singer of the band Pressing Strings, he has shared the stage with such acts as The Beach Boys, Citizen Cope, Government Mule, Toad the Wet Sprocket, JJ Grey, Rayland Baxter, Rachael Yamagata, Neal Francis, etc.

My best advice to all event planners - hire Jordan Sokel!! We were so lucky to have Jordan be the musician for our wedding - our guests are still talking about how amazing the music was. He is so incredibly talented and knows all the classic songs we were looking for to make our wedding the environment we wanted! We also wanted a relatively unknown song for our first dance and he learned to play it for us. He did EVERYTHING! The instrumental songs for our ceremony, songs during the cocktail hour and songs during our reception. He was also fully supportive of having my brother play a song with him during the Mother/Son dance -- and didn't give him a hard time when he messed up on a chord! It was a pleasure collaborating with him on music choices and we trusted him completely to "read the room" and play what our guests were feeling. Booking Jordan was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and we are so grateful to have his talent be a part of our big day!
