Jullanar Gamboa is a recent graduate from the Berklee College of Music. Her eclectic and versatile voice mimics those of some of the greats like June Christy and Julie London. Despite jazz being her main focus, she's well versed in pop, R&B, and can sing in Portugese and Spanish.
Jullanar sings with a small jazz combo and would fit comfortably in any kind of setting from a wedding to a corporate event.
Jullanar sang my for my cousins wedding last month and she was terrific!
We had planned the wedding pre-covid but unfortunately had to delay the wedding which she was extremely understanding and flexible about. She was very professional and sounded amazing!
Jullanar sang for my grandmother's 90th birthday party and was absolutely wonderful. She was so friendly and professional, and her music created the perfect atmosphere for the celebration. Thank you, Jullanar, for making my grandma's birthday a memorable one! I definitely recommend Jullanar!
My partner and I recently got married and booked Jullanar to provide some live music before the ceremony. She was absolutely great, very fun to work with, and really added a wonderful ambiance to the night. Would highly recommend her!

I can provide soft background music for corporate events lasting anywhere from 2-4 hours of music. I have a band and can provide amps of my own if need be. Repertoire includes old standards such as "Dream A Little Dream of Me", "The Girl From Ipanema" and other jazz standards. I can also perform contemporary tunes by singer songwriters such as Ingrid Michaelson, Maroon 5, and others.
Jullanar Gamboa was born and raised in beautiful San Diego California. Her passion for music started at a very young age. When her interest in music began to take off, her mother enrolled her in the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts where she was placed into the advanced level choir. When she started her freshmen year at the high school, she sang with the schools jazz band, playing at festivals such as the Ocean Beach Jazz Festival and going to compete with the school's big band at the Fullerton Jazz Festival.
Come graduation time, she was accepted into Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts where she performed in various ensembles and went through vigorous theory courses in order to perfect her craft. This May she recently graduated from the college with a bachelors degree in jazz performance. She has recently returned to San Diego and plans to go to Spain in the fall, where she will receive her masters in Contemporary Performance.
If there is a sound system available at the event that would be great. However, if there isn't, I can provide my own amplification.

I'm influenced by the cool jazz groups of the 1920's. People like June Christy, Julie London, Carmen McRae and some of the newer singers like Cyrille Aimee and Cecile McLorin Salvant. A lot of the repertoire is jazz but I try and squeeze some contemporary singer song writer songs like Corrine Bailey Rae and Lianne La Havas into the set.
