We will fill your event with electrified Swing, Jazz, Blues, R&B, and a little bit of Rock 'n' Roll! We bring the styles of Count Basie, Louie Prima, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, and more, and have performed at LA and OC's most popular clubs including Clifton's, Cicada, and Disneyland! We offer arrangements from duos up to our 12-piece big band, and can bring Swing dancers, dance instructors, and vintage-dressed actors. This was the 3rd time getting to work with this fun band - I was DJing and they were playing live, at a large party. They are a fun mix of 1940s-50s swing, with a lively and authentic sound that got a lot of people on the dance floor! In addition to the fun rhythms, they've got great singers who enhance the overall fun energy and vibe. 3rd time working with them and they were a joy each time!

We reviewed 3 different bands for our wedding reception and are so glad that we chose the Jumpin’ Joz jazz band – they were amazing! The Jumpin’ Joz band play an amazing variety of music for all ages including swing standards, jazz, rhythm and blues and even some old-time rock and roll. Rick is a consummate showman and entertainer and their style of music was perfect for getting people of all ages up out of their seats and dancing. We highly recommend the Jumpin’ Joz Jazz Band for parties, swing dances, and corporate events. We had guests who were non-dancers as well as swing and ballroom dancers and their variety of music got everyone out of their seats and dancing. They are so much fun! My wife’s parents were thrilled and thought the music was great even though they aren’t big fans of jazz music. Thank you, Rick, and your amazing musicians for making our wedding celebration an unforgettable night of great music, dancing and fun!

Jumpin Joz has played many times at my venue and they bring it every time! This band does not disappoint. They always bring a good crowd, they sound great, and are a lot of fun. Seriously, one of the best dance bands in town!

I hire Jumpin’ Joz about three times a month to play outdoors at my bar and restaurant, and there’s a reason they have a standing gig with us! Our diners and bar goers all love the sound they produce, and a lot of dancers show up later in the evening to hear them play! They have led to more business at my restaurant, happier customers, and just great vibes all around. I would recommend them unreservedly for any of your events that require jazz, swing, or classy music in general.

As a swing dance club owner, I have always loved Jumpin' Joz for so many reasons: They are 100% professional and to easy to work with, they really know how to play for the dancers and keep them on the floor all night, and they always look sharp and have a great interaction with the audience.
As a professional dancer, I love dancing to them. They just have that beat that gets into your feet.
And, for anyone considering hiring them for a private event, such as a corporate party or wedding, you won't be disappointed!
Highly recommend.

I've hired the Jumpin' Joz to play at three parties over the years. Every time, their tight and lively 40s swing set the tone for a night to remember for all involved. Most recently, they played as a 6-piece (vocalist, sax, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums) for an outdoor party for 300 in Pasadena. Dancing or just savoring the scene under twinkling lights with vibrant swing music in the air...it doesn't get any better than that!
