I had Kate play as a duo cello at my wedding in Carlsbad, CA and cannot say more wonderful things. We sent an inquiry for our 10 year anniversary dinner party, and Kate was one of the first to respond. Kate was very helpful offering options regarding time and additional musicians so that we’d have the best experience.
I was glad I took the suggestion of a cello and violin combo to make the “Bridgerton” style pop music we wanted sound more familiar. Both Kate and McKenna were kind, timely and professional. They played two specific requests and I’ve watched the videos about one thouotimes❤️ I was overjoyed to have had this experience, and I certainly recommend them to others!

I can't say enough wonderful praise for Kate (on cello) and fellow musician McKenna (on violin; sorry if I didn't spell that correctly!) From the very start Kate was so highly flexible, able to adjust the type of duet (which instruments), to a very small private ceremony (about 10 people), as well as song requests. Not to mention the music was *gorgeous* the day-of, even on a rather hot afternoon: the music felt like it only made the weather better, they were so integral to the day. THANK YOU, KATE AND TEAM. <3
Kate did a fantastic job playing at the wedding I coordinated. She is a wonderful musician who worked through tough conditions (playing in a hot muggy greenhouse) and did it with a smile.
Kate provided music for the prelude to a back yard wedding recently held at my home. Our guest were greeted in the garden by a beautiful assemble of music that I had requested that she choose. Her music selection was perfect. Kate was punctual and professional and easy to communicate with in making the necessary arrangements. I found her performance to be flawless and she brought a dignified and beautiful elegance to the beginning of this event.

I have been playing cello for over half my life. I received my BA in cello performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, studying with Astrid Schween (of the Juilliard String Quartet) and Edward Arron. Growing up, I also learned guitar, electric bass, and upright bass. I have always enjoyed learning and playing a variety of musical genres, spanning from classical to pop. I currently teach and play professionally in the Cleveland area!
My performance experience ranges from playing in symphonic orchestras, operas, string quartets/trios/duets, musical pit orchestras, and jazz bands; at weddings, social events, and more. I love playing all different styles of music and with all different types of musicians. Behind the scenes, I am a practiced recording artist (with a home studio), arranger, and composer. I am more than happy to collaborate on virtual or pre recorded projects. If you are looking to have a unique arrangement of a piece of music for your event or project, I'd love to collaborate with you to provide the instrumentation and style you have in mind.
