Kathryn Andersen, Violin

After you contact me about performing for your special event, we will set up a time to talk on the phone so I can get details about your event. I can play anything you want me to play. If you have no idea what you would want, that's fine! I will pick out a nice selection in whichever genre you may want. If you request music that I do not already own, I will handle purchasing it and learning it. I want to make the planning process as simple as possible. I have my own music stand and can bring that with me to make it easier. I like to practice a lot before gigs to ensure that I'm doing everything I can to give you the best music possible for your wedding day!

Kathryn is a violinist from Bethpage, NY currently finishing her BM in Music Education at Ithaca College (graduating in May 2022). She has been playing the violin since age 9 and has always loved performing for people, giving impromptu concerts in the living room whenever extended family came over. Kathryn's enjoys performing solo, in a duet, and in a string quartet. Kathryn has been playing wedding gigs since high school and has always loved them. She especially enjoys getting to play while everyone walks down the aisle, as it is a moment that the couple will remember forever. In addition to gig experience, Kathryn has had experience playing in many orchestras such as the Long Island Youth Orchestra and the Ithaca College Symphony and Chamber orchestras. A versatile violinist/violist, Kathryn enjoys playing classical, pop, musical theater, and fiddle.

I can bring everything I need; stand, music, speaker for backing track if necessary, and violin pickup and amp if necessary. If you would like me to play with piano, it is preferred that the venue has a piano, but it is not necessary.
