Kathy Farmer and the Jim Levy Quartet present an energetic and welcoming jazz performance by a professional, well-trained, experienced and relatable jazz ensemble! Presenting music from the jazz era of the (phone number hidden)0s to the pop eras from the 1950s-1970s and beyond. Superb musicianship and fun to boot!

Kathy Farmer's beautiful voice, expressiveness, jazz sensibility, engaging personality, and ability to connect with her audience make her a standout. Her great love of jazz was influenced by her mom's favorite radio station and Broadway show albums that filled the home with American Songbook classics. Her stylistic approach has been influenced by some of the jazz greats, including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Anita O'Day, Eydie Gorme, Helen Forest.

Kathy wears a few singing hats, offering the performance range and scope of music to fit both audience and venue--vocalist with a jazz combo or acoustic guitar tailored to meet the needs of the client and the occasion. Kathy has performed throughout the greater Washington, DC area, including the Kennedy Center, Blues Alley, Mr. Henry's, Twins Jazz, the Carlyle Club, JoJo's, Glen Echo's Spanish Ballroom, Twins Jazz--and many other jazz venues, restaurants, as well as for private events.

The Jim Levy Quartet, an ensemble of superb musicians performing jazz standards as well as more contemporary tunes with a jazz influence, is led by Jim Levy--a jazz pianist, composer, educator, and founder of the Jazz Studies program at The George Washington University. He is a very sought-after jazz pianist and has played with the best-of-the-best in area jazz clubs since the 1980s, for various cruise ship lines, and has been heard nationally on NPR's Jazzset.

We can provide a PA system to fit the needs of your space. If you have sound and lighting, so much the better for us! For the full band, space of 12ftx12ft at a minimum would make us happy.
