The Ken Foster Trio
Performing a blend of all-time favorites and contemporary hits the Ken Foster Trio specializes in playing for Ballroom Dances, Wedding Receptions, Dinner Parties or any Special Occasion. They have over 3000 songs in their repertoire and can play virtually every style of music.
Ken Foster – Piano
Ken works as a full-time musician, teaching, composing, arranging and producing music. He received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Utah with postgraduate work from BYU. His emphasis was in Jazz Theory/Composition, Piano Pedagogy, Piano Performance and Conducting. He has composed music for film, TV, video and theater. Ken is also a piano tuner and is a Registered Piano Technician (RPT). It is estimated that there are around 15,000 piano tuners in the USA and less than 2000 have passed the 3 rigorous tests required to qualify for the status of RPT.
Brian Foster – Bass - Vocals
Brian started playing guitar in the fourth grade. After high school he switched to electric bass to play in Ken Foster’s bands. In the mid 80-s he played bass for “Voyce” a band that opened for the Statler Brothers and played a 6 week engagement at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Reno. Having graduated from Westminster College of Salt Lake with a business management degree, He currently works as a sales rep for Dun & Bradstreet Inc and enjoys playing his vintage fender jazz bass with the Ken Foster Trio.
Bob MacArt – Drums - Vocals
Bob first started playing drums with Ken Foster in their early college days, while he pursued a music degree at the University of Utah. During college, Bob got side tracked and went on the road with many different bands. He played for Crystal Gayle’s TV special at the Osmond’s studio. He became the drummer for the Osmond Brothers from 1983 to 1987. He’s also played with many professionals like, Roy Clark, Helen Forrest, Sherie Lewis, Regis Philbin, The Pied Pipers, Andy Williams, Anna Connie, Johnny Ray, Dennis Day, The Osmonds-Next Generation and Soul Patrol.
