We hired Ken and his group to perform at my grandfather's celebration of life, and everything was perfect! The band was friendly, professional, and flexible in accommodating our needs. They even took the time to learn a song that was synonymous with my grandfather. Additionally, they handled all of our song requests. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to book them again in the future!

Sam and I couldn't be happier with our choice in hiring Ken Weiner Music for our wedding ceremony! Ken and his team were so flexible with our song choices and even learned a new song just for me for the processional (a moment I'll cherish forever). Our guests were also non-stop raving about how lovely it was to hear them play, as they waited for us to arrive and throughout the ceremony too. It was such a pleasure working with Ken leading up to the event -- he is incredibly professional, kind and extremely talented. He truly made this day so special for us. We couldn't recommend a jazz group more!!! We'll definitely be hiring them again soon!

Ken and his band performed for us last night during our street event. Absolutely awesome. Very high quality, professional, band members were dressed nicely. Definitely would recommend him and his band to perform and I will use them again!

What to Expect
A professional and talented jazz group that is sure to entertain your guests! We play classic jazz standards and some originals too. I love playing jazz music and hearing from my customers that they greatly enjoyed the music.
About
An afficianado of traditional and straight-ahead jazz, Ken Weiner grew up playing tenor saxophone in the suburbs of Los Angeles. He studied engineering and jazz at UCLA where he won the Cannonball Adderly Memorial Scholarship. He can be heard on recordings by David Tobocman and the swing band Speak Easy Spies. Ken plays frequently around Los Angeles with his own jazz group and as a member of the Del Rey Jazz Band, Roberto Cordero Quintet, LA Love Band, and Geoff Mann Group.
Additional Booking Notes
I can tailor the set list and instrumentation to your preference. For example, depending on your budget and preference, I can provide a duo (sax and acoustic bass), trio (add drums), quartet (add piano), or quintet (add trumpet). I can also add a singer to any of these configurations.
