We hired Ken and his group to perform at my grandfather's celebration of life, and everything was perfect! The band was friendly, professional, and flexible in accommodating our needs. They even took the time to learn a song that was synonymous with my grandfather. Additionally, they handled all of our song requests. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to book them again in the future!

An afficianado of traditional and straight-ahead jazz, Ken Weiner grew up playing tenor saxophone in the suburbs of Los Angeles. He studied engineering and jazz at UCLA where he won the Cannonball Adderly Memorial Scholarship. He can be heard on recordings by David Tobocman and the swing band Speak Easy Spies. Ken plays frequently around Los Angeles with his own jazz group and as a member of the Del Rey Jazz Band, Roberto Cordero Quintet, LA Love Band, and Geoff Mann Group.
I can tailor the set list and instrumentation to your preference. For example, depending on your budget and preference, I can provide a duo (sax and acoustic bass), trio (add drums), quartet (add piano), or quintet (add trumpet). I can also add a singer to any of these configurations.
