I am a singer with a jazz group called Swing Set! I specialize in jazz although I am an especially eclectic singer who can easily swing from an opera aria to a pop tune. if you're looking for an intimate trio for your club or function or a quintet with brass to swing the night away for your party or wedding reception, Swing Set is your band! I also do a lot of solo gigs too as I play piano and sing. I play at local wine bars, restaurants, and have done many holiday engagements, small gatherings, weddings, church services, etc.

Kendra and the Swing Set were an amazing group of talented musicians. Their renditions of classic standards and upbeat swing songs made for a memorable night of dancing and laughter. If you are looking for a stellar ballroom style band that can play everything from Waltz to Cha Cha I highly recommend giving them a shot. I know I'll be using them again in the future! Depends very much on what you're booking.... definitely quality as everyone with whom I work is a quality musician creating quality music for your event. :) Could be mellow background music, could be a huge party... depends on your needs :)
Kendra is a seasoned professional singer and pianist, having worked as a worship leader, section leader, soloist, and choir director in a great variety of settings and styles. Kendra is the director of music at North Long Beach Christian Church, the lead singer of the jazz trio (to quintet), Swing Set, and front singer and keyboardist for Lady Velvet, a tribute rock band. Kendra is also a Christmas quartet caroler, a working accompanist, gigging singing pianist, and studio singer. Ms. Vuk holds a Bachelors of Music in choral vocal music and a Masters of Music in vocal performance from the Cal State Long Beach Bob Cole Conservatory. She currently teaches voice at Los Angeles Harbor College, Cal Poly Pomona, and privately in her home studio.
