Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kevin McCarty has resided in various parts of the country, including Atlanta, Dallas, Clearwater, and New York City, where in addition to painting, he was an actor in various media such as films, theater, and television.
Kevin now resides back in his home town and primarily focuses on oil painting, creating landscapes, portraits, and still lifes, and provides fun and entertainment at events in the area.

On scholarship, Kevin studied at the Atlanta School of Art in his earliest years. Traveling throughout the United States and Europe, he furthered his education, obtaining first-hand knowledge of the major schools of painting.
