Keyun & the Zydeco Masters are a very diverse & experienced band that plays a combination of Traditional Zydeco combined with a mixture of Gospel, Southern Soul, Rhythm & Blues & Country Western, based on the client’s preferences.

Keyun & the Zydeco Masters are a popular Houston based Band that are for hire for ANY & ALL EVENTS, including, but not limited to: Church Bazaars, Weddings, Festivals, Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Private Parties & much more.

Often, throughout performances, Keyun loves to allow the audience to participate, whether it be sitting in to sing a tune, playing the Rubboard or even having a dance off…
there is always a variation of crowd interaction that inclines everyone to be more likely to have a hand clapping, toe tapping, foot stomping, wang-dang wonderful time.

Keyun Dickson is from Humble,Texas & has been playing the accordion since the
tender age of three. He is well known in Houston, Beaumont, Louisiana &
surrounding areas for his love of Zydeco music.

Keyun started his band, Keyun & The Zydeco Masters in 2003 and has since, been a rising star in today's music industry.

Just to name a few of his accolades:
* In 2010, Keyun was crowned the “Accordion King” by Texas Folklife, a Non-profit organization in Austin,TX.
* In 2022, Keyun was recognized for his loyalty and community service throughout the City of Houston, and given a Proclamation (having his own specific day named after him), “Keyun Dickson Day”, by Houston’s Mayor: Sylvester Turner.
* In 2022, Keyun was also recognized by Congresswoman: Sheila Jackson Lee of The 18th Congressional District of Texas, United States Congress, and given a second Proclamation in lieu of his musical excellence & contributions to the community.
* In 2022, the State of Texas’ State Representative: Jarvis D. Johnson honored Keyun with a Resolution for his Civic Contributions & Musical Excellence.
* In 2023, the City of Iowa Colony (Brazoria County) Councilwoman: Arnetta Murray, presented Keyun with a Proclamation of Appreciation for adding much needed value to the community through his Zydeco Music.
* In 2023, Keyun was awarded & presented a Certificate of Congressional Recognition on his day, “Keyun Dickson Day”, from the U.S. House of Representatives Member of Congress: Sheila Jackson Lee.
* Also, in 2023, Keyun was an Honored Recipient of the Prestigious Medals & presented The Highest Rated Reward: The Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, from President Joseph R. Biden Jr., for his many accomplishments & accolades throughout his career.
* Keyun has also achieved many other accomplishments, as well as done news & radio interviews with KTRK Ch: 13, KHOU Ch:11, KRIV FOX 26, 1430 AM & 92.1 FM, including, but not limited to, an Annual Fat Tuesday Performance on the Great Day Houston Show with Deborah Duncan for the past 7 consecutive years.
