Kimberly Zoeller

Kim plays with a warm clear tone, she has vast performance experience playing solo Baroque trumpet music for trumpet and organ/piano. She also has a large brass quintet library and plays with several groups playing classical, secular, non secular, jazz, popular, polka, patriotic music. She also plays with a Dixieland Trio playing traditional Dixie, Latin, and traditional jazz charts.

Kim is a freelance trumpet player in the San Antonio Texas and South Texas area. She performs regularly with several groups in and around San Antonio. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and a Masters of Music Education with an Emphasis in Kodaly from Texas State University San Marcos (formally Southwest Texas University.) Kim plays a variety of styles and has professional experience in orchestral, chamber, commercial, and jazz. Kim had the honor of being the San Antonio United Way Musical Representative in 1986. She has performed with the San Antonio Brass, San Antonio Symphony Pops, and is the Principal Trumpet with the Incarnate Word Orchestra and currently performing with a local brass quintet and is a substitute for the Valley Symphony Orchestra and the Starlight Symphony Orchestra. Past performances at Opryland San Antonio and a founding member of the Brass Roots Quintet. Teachers include Dr. John Carroll and Jan Roller of the San Antonio Symphony, Keith Winking (Texas State) and Larry Schmidt and workshops with Malcolm McNab, James Thompson, David Bilger, and Bert Truax.

I play acoustic sets if it is solo/solo with accompaniment, brass quintet/quartet, Jazz band, or Dixie Band. If written music charts are used lighting will be required.
