Know Contest Trivia Games

We hired Steven to do trivia games for our Project Graduation. He took out idea and ran with it. Came up with something that would work in our space and for 200 17/18 year olds. They loved it and so did the adults!

I was introduced to Know Contest Trivia in my first few weeks developing museum programs for a Decorative Arts museum, looking for ways to draw people under 60 to the museum (because let's face it, you can only look at old furniture for so long). Steve met with me personally and developed 6 games with wildly different themes that delighted attendees and helped dissipate the stuffy air that museums normally have. From a history of the city, to comic book design, to holidays, to fall favorites, no theme request was too strange or out there for Steve, and resulted in some stumpers that employees even missed! He utilized some of our collections pieces and the limited A/V equipment we had available to create a truly unique experience. The game itself is easy to understand for new players and moves very quickly, and fit within our budget for the events. Players from his bar games also came and attended, which was a nice surprise and speaks to the quality of his games. I highly recommend booking Know Contest Trivia for your next fundraiser. While I have moved on to an entirely different city and line of work, I plan on calling on Steve for future team building events via Zoom.

We've played Know Contest trivia for years at the bar and virtual games and decided it was time to host our own private session for friends. It was a great way to reconnect with friends all over. It can be difficult to balance the game for long-timers and newcomers but Steve is a pro with a wide variety of question formats and topics that keep the game within reach. He's got a deep stable of categories to draw from that can be customized ahead of time based on participants' strengths -- our game ranged from Star Wars to horse racing. And he has an equally deep stable of question formats to keep things varied. Multiple-choice, obviously, but also audio/visual cues, hand-drawn movie posters (it's harder to identify than you think!) and a pick-your-poison option where a team selects the difficulty of the next question for everyone. His fun banter keeps the game moving between questions. It really can't be overstated how much we appreciate the preparation and attention that goes into his games and it really shows.
