Choosing La Unica for your live entertainment will make your event a unique and memorable experience. La Unica offers a truly original sound and provides a high energy show which gets even the shyest of guests dancing and excited to celebrate your event.
We carefully select all original and cover songs in our repertoire. Each band member is passionate about each of these songs which results in our providing clients with a fun and energetic live entertainment experience. If hired, we promise to showcase our unique sound which includes a mixture of original and cover songs, some of which are sung in English and Spanish. To ensure you are provided with our signature sound and experience, we will only play songs in our catalogue and in our style. If you are looking for a more traditional band or DJ allowing a wide range of specific song requests, we can happily recommend some. In short, if you book La Unica, you will get La Unica!
A typical performance can include three 45 minute sets with two 15 minute breaks (minimum) after Set 1 and Set 2, and will include a meal break. During break times, La Unica will happily play any tracks, selected by clients ahead of time, through our sound system. La Unica’s rate will reflect the total time investment associated with a performance by a live wedding band which can include travel, setup and breakdown time for 5 band members. La Unica's musicians can also perform appropriate ceremony and/or cocktail music upon request.

La Unica is a Washington, DC-based band combining Celtic and Latin music and adds funk, rock, and reggae for a uniquely energetic sound-- a quintessential American "melting pot" sound. Our sound is ideal for a venue looking to hear good music with a distinct style. We have played throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, Delaware, and New York. We've been giving audiences a fun, new sound for over five years.
