Established by Entertainer/Producer Darrick Gaye the Ladies of Soul is a performance group who's been around performing for over 5yrs. The objective is to honor the legacy and spirit of the great female groups and vocalist of our time. Artist such as Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, the Supremes, En Vogue, Tina Turner, SWV, Anita Baker, Patti Labelle, Destiny Child, Tina Marie and more.
It is said that soul music is a blend of R & B and gospel. Now, Miami has four beautiful talented young ladies that personify this genre of music. Angel Gaye is distant cousin of the late great Marvin Gaye and one half of the award winning Inspirational duo D-n-A. She brings with her a wealth of vocal ability and professionalism that has thrilled her audiences all over the country. She has shared the stage with the likes of Helen Baylor & John P. Kee just to name a few. Nicole Butler is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Unique, Compelling, Energetic are only a few words used to describe the sultry singer/songwriter. Her versatility has taken her to the show stages of New York and Las Vegas. Now, she has taken her talent to South Beach! The Dynamic and Soulful LeNora Jaye hails from New York. She is an accomplished vocalist and songwriter who has won numerous awards and has performed all over the world. She has performed at a host of venues: Carnival Freedom I Jams Cruise, BB Kings, House of Blues and many others. She was recently voted BEST NEW ARTIST 2011 by Soul (link hidden) for their Annual Readers Choice Awards. Crystal Johnson is a professional drummer and background vocalist who has played for several churches and bands around the South Florida area. LOS has opened for Bobby Stringer, Shenita Hunt, Betty Wright, Lattimore, Timmy Thomas and OSG. This group is taken the local music scene by storm. Get ready for the soulful experience that is LOS!
