Lakeside Strings offers music for many events from wedding ceremonies to corporate events. Lakeside Strings prides themselves in making your special event truly yours, by helping you choose just the right music from their repertoire list. We perform all the traditional Classical Music and also offer a large selection of modern and contemporary favorites as well. You may hire 1-15 musicians (solo to small string orchestra) and we also have musicians that can join us on piano, flute, trumpet, and harp as well. Our musicians perform with all the professional orchestras from Madison to Milwaukee and come with 20 years of professional experience.

The Lakeside Strings pride themselves in making your special event truly yours, by helping you choose just the right music from their repertoire list, and adding that musical touch of elegance to your event. We offer traditional/Classical repertoire as well as more modern/contemporary music (U2, Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Journey, Beatles, etc.) The Lakeside Strings perform in formal concert black attire unless other arrangements are made.
Since 1995, the members of the Lakeside Strings come from a variety of professional and semi-professional organizations in music performance and music education. They hold Bachelors’ and Masters’ Degrees in Music Performance and Music Education. Performance affiliations include the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Wisconsin Philharmonic (formerly the Waukesha Symphony Orchestra), the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, the Racine Symphony Orchestra, the Festival City Orchestra, the Kenosha Symphony Orchestra, the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, the Elgin Symphony Orchestra and the Madison Symphony. Active in music education, as well, members are teaching faculty for the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, the String Academy of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Center for Strings, the Barcel String Studios, the School District of West Allis-West Milwaukee, and other schools in southeastern Wisconsin. They also maintain private teaching studios. Now in their twentieth year as a performing ensemble, the Lakeside Strings have performed for numerous wedding ceremonies, formal and casual dinners and receptions, Bar Mitzvahs, and funerals.
We have our own music stands. Client provides armless chairs. If you are using candlelight or dim lighting, please let us know so that we can be prepared with our stand lights. We perform acoustically (no amplification is provided by Lakeside Strings).
