Larry Bee and the Buzz

Larry Bee and the Buzz are a "good times" band bringing back classic hits in a tribute to the great bands and songs of the 50's, 60's and 70's. We are NOT LOUD! This band plays at low volume, but has sufficient energy to get the room dancing and having a great time. We play on period instruments and recreate the classic sound of the 60's. Seasoned professionals, retired executives and fire fighters we are geared for small clubs or functions that combine both young and old.

Larry Bee and the Buzz deliver inspired performances of early Rock & Roll classics based on 50+ years of experience from everyday life. As young kids, we were moved to take musical action after drawing powerful inspiration from early 60’s bands and performers like Elvis, The Stones, The Young Rascals, The Animals, Shadows of Knight, and vintage nuggets like 96 Tears and Little Girl.

We were born into the blues and the Summer of Love and now are recreating this music in a uniquely classic style that delights a vast range of music lovers. As youngsters we played in high schools, rocked the stages of the Metrowest circuit and barnstormed through clubs as diverse as The Channel, The Living Room and (insert others). Some of us played in London, Boston, Nashville and Vegas and competed in battles of the bands and backyard parties. We penned songs, played gigs and made records – all while working full time careers as firefighters, dispatchers, lawyers, teachers and technology professionals.

As “old buzzards” we are bringing this music back to life with the original classic sound of the 60’s and are ready to take you on a magical ride back through one of the most epic periods in modern musical history!

We are bonded by the personal experience of Rock and Roll and so fortunate to have grown up during the most incredible period in music history. This inspiration has enabled us to build a song book of hits that visits the past in a new and unique style, with the classic vintage sound and youthful energy of our teenage years. Larry Bee and the Buzz harvest the sweetest nuggets of Rock and Roll and serve them up for your listening pleasure, promising to bring you on a highly enjoyable and satisfying ride into a period of musical history which continues to shape the lives of music lovers of all ages.

We bring our own equipment, sound and lights. No special requirements. We can setup and tear down within 60 minutes. We generally play 3 sets of 50 minutes each covering about 45-50 classic songs total. We take requests. We are there for one reason .... to please the audience.
