Overview
Lashkara at UC Davis is a competitive, award winning Bollywood Fusion dance team. We have won at over 5 competitions in the past 2 years, and have placed at Nationals 2 years in a row. Our choreography is unique, and one of a kind that has elements of all types of dancing to entertain audiences of all ages. We we would love to bring our love for Bollywood to your event!
** We travel to areas in Bay area as well!

Overall the performance was ok. had hired them to do a dance at my brothers wedding reception after they came recommended. Some highlights....showed up on time, patiently waited for the their turn, and very nice dancers. Some opportunities for improvement.....1) could be a bit more coordinated and in sync, 2) the music was way too fast and felt that many time the dancers would fall off sync from the music, 3) better communication from the team, I emailed twice and then ended up texting to give details on the event, would have also liked more of a conversation around the type of dancing.

We were thrilled to book this highly recommended dance troupe for our son's Shaadi celebration. Three charming students put on a spellbinding show, with wonderful costumes and great panache! Our guests were totally delighted, especially the children. It was our privilege to have them, and to support their competitions with other schools.

About
Lashkara is UC Davis's premier hindi film-fusion team on UC Davis campus. We are a versatile intercollegiate Hindi Film Dance (HFD) team that incorporates fusion dance styles such as hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, folk, and Indian classical dance into our musical-style performances. We aim to fuse together the finest of classical and modern dance forms to bring the best of Bollywood to all audiences.
