No Where do I start? Latent Defect is like the best mix tape personified. One minute they’re in chill mode singing Bob Seger, Fleetwood Mac, Sheryl Crow, and the next minute they’re melting your face perfecting AC/DC to the back drop of the thunderstorm that is Doug Wallace on drums. So many, “wait, did they just do that?” moments. Belting out Paramore, Foo Fighters, and Heart… yes HEART! “Crazy on you”, one of the toughest vocals to cover, but Kelli NAILED it. Super talented group, and so much fun. If you haven’t seen them, you’re missing out.
What sets Latent Defect apart is their outstanding stage presence and enthusiasm. The vocalists know how to engage the crowd, drawing everyone in with powerful vocals and genuine charisma. This group of super-talented musicians seamlessly navigate through a diverse range of music genres spanning multiple decades, ensuring there's something for everyone in the audience. Had the pleasure of catching their performances twice now, and I can confidently say they're a guaranteed good time!
I saw them preform at Viva Vienna and they had excellent singing and production. Although it was rained out, the songs that they played sounded great.
They are a great group of musicians. They put on a really fun show and perform with so much energy and heart. Highly recommend!

Latent Defect is a cover band located in Northern Virginia that performs a variety of rock and pop hits from the 1950's through the 2020's. Members of our band range from their early 30's to mid 50's, so we have a wide variety of musical tastes and expertise. Most of us are professional musicians or music teachers who have been involved in a myriad of musical groups over the years. We are a 7-9 piece band, but can also do shows with a smaller band if requested. Our 2 powerful lead singers and our 2 backup singers with lead vocal talent allow us to execute intricate harmonies and match the vocal style of the artists that we cover. We are confident that you will have a great time if you book us for a show!

Our band members are from varied and unique backgrounds and cover a wide age span. We play a little bit of everything, from classic rock and country influenced rock to heavier rock and pop. Since several of us are Gen X, we love the 80's!
We can work with any situation. We prefer it when a PA system and sound engineer are provided, but can take care our own sound if needed.
