Lauren Carter is a recording artist, signed to Turn Up the Pop! Records. In April, 2017 she released her debut EP, 'American Dream.' The Thomas Godel remix of the title track peaked at #6 in the Swiss Dance Charts, along with receiving commercial radio play in German and Switzerland.

Lauren is based in Los Angeles, where she continues to write and record new material and tours locally, at venues including Hotel Cafe, Teragram Ballroom, Bar 20, The Attic and more.

GQ Mexico writes that 'Lauren Carter is proof that talent and beauty can co-exist.' Viva Glam Magazine states, 'if you love Lana del Rey, you'll love Lauren Carter.' Vents Magazine states, her single Rulebreaker features 'an eclectic melody blending seductive vocals with pounding drums that is a work of pop perfection.' Maxim Magazine called Lauren a 'triple sexy triple threat,' and DJ Fresh, who featured her in music video 'Lassitude', called Lauren 'easy on the eyes, and a pleasure to work with.'

Lauren has a resonant three octave range that can deliver haunting ethereal notes to a full on belt. The range comes from her classical training and her Masters Degree in opera.

Also a model, she has been featured extensively in her career in magazines such as GQ, Maxim, Esquire, Runway Magazine, Le Fair Magazine.

Thematically her music explores the relationship between audience and performer, the male gaze, and delves into topics concerning sexual politics, female independence, life in Los Angeles, and the 'American Dream.' Lauren continues to push the envelope.

Additional credits include a licensing deal for her composition 'Around the Globe for a Volkswagen radio spot in 2016. Her awards include Grand Prize at the Glen Miller Vocal Scholarship Competition in 1997, title of Junior Miss Illinois in 1997, non-finalist Talent Award at America's Junior Miss for singing, Best Rock Cover Akademia Awards in 2015 for her cover of the National's 'Graceless.'

Varies depending on booking:

I have been booked just myself with backing tracks to perform opera at a 50th wedding anniversary. I've been booked to perform jazz at corporate Christmas parties which involves outlets so performers can bring amps and mics. If you are a venue with a grand piano, we may not need amplification at all. I can project. :)

If you are booking anywhere with a grand piano - most likely we won't use amplification unless we need one vocal mic. Which I will provide.

The full band requires enough outlets for full amplification of all instruments. The acoustic set can include amplified voice and guitar, or simply full acoustic.
