I saw your Etta James tribute in Clinton, MI in February of 2013. When they announced an Etta tribute I immediately thought, no one can really do justice to Etta! But then Kathleen started singing and it was like Etta was right there, she sounds so much like her. She is the best Etta James I have ever heard or seen, she should be in Vegas! She has the look, mannerism and sound. Great Job!
She looked and sounded exactly like Etta! I could not believe it! When she hit those notes like Etta it really just brought tears to my eyes!
LeVonne brilliantly opened her selections with the song 'I'm Coming Out'. I'm coming out by LeVonne showed her stage presence in excellent range, her ability to move, sometimes dancing while singing was very impressive. Her imitation of Diana Ross comes off very professional and was a crowd pleaser. Her timing and rhythm were flawless throughout 'I'm Coming Out'. As LeVonne smoothly transitioned into 'Touch Me in the Morning' the 400 attendees recognizing the song broke out into simultaneous applause. LeVonne kept the slow tempo going with the song 'Someone that you Loved Before'. This title track as performed by LeVonne was a superb impersonation of Diana Ross. All attendees were spellbound as she performed this Grammy nominated song. 'Stop in the Name of Love' was requested by the Hardaway family, but since LeVonne performs solo, I provided two females to do backup for the song. These individuals were randomly selected and were prepared by LeVonne within 15 minutes. She coordinated hand movements and choreography and vocal insertion in that time span. Her efforts paid big dividends with a stellar crowd rousing performance. LeVonne's dress certainly was an excellent example of Diana Ross dress, makeup and hair. LeVonne looks and performs like Diana Ross.
LaVonne has a beautiful voice! I was so pleased to have her sing at my recent retirement party; everyone loved her and remarked how talented she is. I hope she will join us again sometime. She is great! Thank you LaVonne.
