A Plethora of Whimsical Songs!
It's a tale as old as the sea and as new as today, of dichotomy & duality, of the unlikely yet natural pairing of disparate elements: old & young, knowledge & innocence, low & high, great & small, plain & pretty, landlubber & seafarer - Zee Loons!
Pop, Swing, Country & Rock Blend, forming a seamless foray into fine fun music. Mandolin & Ukulele, Xylophone, Mountain Dulcimer, Harmonica amongst other percussion, create a lovely, lively, lilting platform for musical mirth.
What began as a brief foray into uncharted waters has evolved into an odyssey with no end in sight. Each time they play it's a Magical show of delight!
I found these wonderful musicians playing at Mellow Ventures a popular restaurant by the Key West Marina.
I grabbed a taco, listened to their set & fell in love with their music.
They played a mix of covers & originals~both of which were magnificent!
I spoke with them at the end of their show & asked if they'd play private parties on my charter boat. Lucky for me, they said yes & they've been playing for me ever since.
These two loons are fine musicians with a great sense of humor & fun.
Their concert is the most wonderfully unique I've ever seen.
Thanks Loons~
These two magnificant musicians played a regular gig at our senior center.
We were amazed by their engaging music that delighted all of our residents.
These two have a genuine warmth about them that lit up the whole room. They always stayed after their gig to chat with our residents & play cards!
Their music was perfect for our senior center! They played feel good music from the 1930s through 1970s which brought a smile to our residents as they travelled down memory lane.
What a treat! Thank you so much Loons!
Keep playing your beautiful Music!
Regards,
Danny
These two loons are a hoot!
They played a regular gig at my bar & brought in all sorts of fun folks to drink, dance and be merry!
This band has that special je ne sais quoi that lures listeners in & raises their spirits high. These musicians keep everyone laughing&dancing which is key at a place like mine.
Can't wait for the season to start up & get these guys back in & playing!
Bravo Loons!
These two are so much fun!
They played a regular Saturday gig at our popular Restaurant in the Keys & always attracted lots of folks in to eat, drink & dance!
I met Luna (the cute freckly redhead) with a watermelon ukulele in her knapsack returning from doing howler Monkey rehabilitation out East.
She & Steve played me a few original & cover songs on my patio & I was hooked!
You won't find more charming, talented & fun Musicians!
Be sure to ask them to play their lovely version of Blue Moon.
Enjoy!
These two rock!
They played my daughter's wedding & blew us all away.
We asked them to play mostly swing & jazz tunes. They played a wonderfully varied repitoire of songs.
We were all up laughing & dancing!
I've already asked them to play for our Anniversary!
Thanks Loons!

I'd seen this delightful duo busking downtown and also at a nice little bistro, Mellow Cafe. They impressed me right away with how much fun they were having, and also how much fun they generated in the people listening. People of all ages liked them, even older people and kids, I find it's rare for musicians to project that sort of engaging warmth. At least here, most of the musicians seem jaded or even mechanical, catering to what they think audiences want. These two loons - perfectly named, for their offbeat, off-the-wall nature - seemed genuinely pleased to just play the music they liked.
I liked it too - an eclectic range of styles that included swing, folk, country, classic rock from the sixties, rockabilly, soul music, plus some originals. The most amazing thing was their instrumentation - mostly the guy played mandolin while the girl sang, sometimes also played ukulele and even xylophone, sometimes just using the back of her ukulele like a hand drum, also tapping out rhythm on a mini-tambourine strapped to her foot. Very unusual, yet somehow their sound was full, maybe because he had a fairly low voice while hers was fairly high. There was a lot going on with just these two musicians and singers, and everything each did complemented the other. It was also intriguing that these two had such an easy rapport with each other, when she seemed to be about half his age - she was in her mid-twenties, he was about sixty. I found them charming, even fascinating.
I thought they would be perfect for an April Fool's party I was throwing, and my instincts were right. They were the cat's pajamas, and everyone enjoyed them tremendously. They were able to do a lot of people's requests, and even if they didn't know the exact song, they came up with something close enough. The guy seemed to know a lot of songs , and the girl was really good at picking them up and finding nice harmonies. They were charming to the nth degree. I'd hire them again in an instant. I think if enough people give them a chance and would be willing to support music like this that is different, imaginative, and non-formulaic, they might really go places.I look forward to saying I knew them when.
Wow! Lil' Dipper was a marvel to behold! She won us over with her charm & wit. Her songs are lovely reflections of reminiscent favorites from the swing era, golden oldies & modern classics & are perfect for party's, weddings or any other shindig with flair! She has a very varied repitoire & can adapt her set of songs to whatever musical mood you wish! She sings like an angel & plays a variety of instruments including mountain dulcimer, ukulele & harmonica.
If you're lucky, she'll be joined by her dear friend who plays a fierce fingerpicking mandolin! Together these two are a dynamic duo!
Enjoy this magical music!
Be sure to bring your spiffy Dancin' Shoes!

Our preference is to play acoustically. The magic of strings and voices resonating in the air is our most cherished musical achievement. But if that is not possible in your venue ...
