I can not say enough good things about Lindsay. Other than being prompt and professional, she is a truly talented cello player. It was not an easy time for me and I was very general about a music selection. Her selection was beautiful and I am very grateful to her.
Linsay arrived on time to the event where she was going to be part of a group performance which also included piano, violin, acoustic guitar and bass. The event was a little hetic in terms of time to setup each music group on stage for the sound check and she handled very well the stress it brought to all of us. She played beautifully and i couldn’t be happier with her. Also she was very responsive all the time. I highly recommend Lansay. You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Lansay!!! I’ll look foward to hire again.
Throughout the years, I have worked with Linsay in many different environments (school, weddings, musicals, etc.) and have always had a great experience. Linsay is punctual, organized, prepared (brings back up music for the back up music!), easy to work with, and a fine musician.
We contracted with Linsay to play our wedding. We corresponded several times via email to work out the details and she was flexible and reasonably responsive. She was priced reasonably and agreed to learn a specific pop song that we wanted that was not in her portfolio. She was supposed to start performing 20 minutes prior to the ceremony. She did not arrive at the venue until 10 minutes prior to the ceremony and then still needed to setup. She never contacted us to advise she would be late so when she had not arrived 25 minutes prior to the ceremony, we had to scramble to get our DJ to setup for playing ceremony music when they were not contracted to do so. Fortunately they were there well ahead of schedule and could do that. We were extremely disappointed and it added unnecessary stress to our day. Linsay did not contact us after the event to explain what had happened, we had to contact her to express our disappointment. When we did so, all she had to offer were excuses related to the weather and things "out of her control" that caused her to be late. To be fair there was some rain and flurries as well as a little bit of hail at one point in the afternoon, but all of our other vendors seemed to allow enough time and arrived ahead of schedule. At the end of the day it was her professionalism that was the most disappointing. We would not recommend her for an important event.
Response from Linsay Setzer:
I'm sorry you feel this way. From my other reviews, you can see this is not a normal occurrence for my services. In my defense, I was driving from NJ to your wedding in PA. The GPS told me it would take an hour, so I left 2 hours before hand to give myself time. The weather was awful that day (at least where I was driving from.) I counted 8 car accidents on my route, but when I arrived at your wedding, there was only rain. I could see how my response could be considered "excuses" to you. Also, in my defense, you did not tell me the wedding was in a separate location than the actual hotel. So while I arrived right on time, I had to park, walk to the lobby, figure out where the wedding was, walk back to my car, drive to the different building, park, and get set up.
Linsay performed at our wedding. She was early to the event and was set up well before we were getting ready to begin. She was dressed appropriately and sounded beautiful! I would definitely recommend her!!
Response from Linsay Setzer:
Thanks so much for the review, Tony! It was a beautiful ceremony, and I loved playing for you!
Linsay played cello as part of a string quartet on my band's album. She was extremely professional and played everything perfectly. She even made fantastic suggestions for the cello part I had written, so it was great to get her feedback. I definitely want her back to play on the next album. She's my go-to cellist! Not only can she do classical music, but she can also play on a rock track as well, which proves that she is a versatile musician. In short, you cannot go wrong hiring Linsay for your recording session.
Response from Linsay Setzer:
Thanks so much, Alyssa. I most certainly look forward to working with you again!
My niece was on a strict budget for her wedding but was enamored with the idea of a string quartet. At my suggestion she allowed me to hire Lynsay to perform with me on piano for the pre service and the service itself thus saving her hundreds of dollars by eliminating the cost of an entire string quartet. Pinao and cello is a lovely combination and my nieces maid of honor has already hired Lyndsay for her wedding.
Response from Linsay Setzer:
Thanks so much, Richard. It's always a pleasure to play with you. Looking forward to our next gig, whatever it may be!
Linsay was recommended by my friend to play at my wedding. She was on time and very professional. I enjoyed the music provided by Linsay. I will recommend her.
Response from Linsay Setzer:
Thanks so much for the review, Lily. The violinist and myself really enjoyed playing in the garden for your wedding. It was a nice location to explore after the ceremony! Very beautiful.
