Looking to help your team, work group, social group or organization feel more appreciated? We will begin by talking about your ideas for why you contacted me to meet with your group. Then I will customize my talk to your concerns and your audience.
I speak best with small groups of individuals (maximum of 25-30). Why? Because my joy and expertise is in engaging each attendee in both learning from the event and creating the event, together with me and other attendees. No two group experiences are alike.
My goals are that every attendee walks away saying it was time well spent because they had fun, learned something useful and came to feel more appreciated by group leaders as well as more bonded with other group members.
Everyone has a story and as such I do too. My life story informs my work with groups. I am currently a young 55 plus active adult and have a lifetime of work and life experiences to bring to any situation. I have traveled the country sharing my experiences/
I've been a psychotherapist for 30 years and this work has been deeply satisfying. It has also taught me to 'think on my feet' and connect with others deeply. I understand how important it is to be positive and to bring the best out in every person I meet because the best is in all of us, just waiting to be noticed!
Research shows for every one negative, it takes at least five positives to even that out. I say, why then, go negative, when it is so 'costly'? When it comes to the individual, this is vital information and when it comes to groups, it is the lifeblood of a group functioning at it's highest potential.
I like to speak in the round, meaning, give me a stool in the middle of the room and put everyone else in a circle around me.
I love comedians. Bill Maher for example. I also loved listening to Barack Obama.
