From Intimate only Jazz Singer, Piano set to Full Band/Trio or Quartet (Jazz Singer, Pianist, Upright Bassist, Drummer, Saxophonist or Guitarist), Liz Whitted Dawson and Jazztet bring a professional 1, 2, 3 or 4 hour session of classic Jazz which may include standard Ballads, Swing Tunes, Bossa/Latin Jazz, Great American Song Book, some popular smooth Jazz and R&B dance tunes. Jazz from the 20s-90s. Musicians are Session and Touring Artists so large repertoire. Music Director Pianist, Grammy Nominated Artist.

LIZ WHITTED DAWSON, SONG STYLIST - SINGER, COMPOSER, JAZZ MUSE
With her deep sultry range, Liz Whitted Dawson is a consummate Singer/Songwriter with JAZZ leanings. She’s been performing professionally for sixteen years in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. Liz takes her audience on an adventure from love to tears to joy. She brings both a fresh new sound and perspective on the Jazz scene.
Bringing her unique sense of style and class to venues such as The World Stage Performance Gallery and Geoffreys Inner Circle, Liz has graced the stage with two time Grammy nominated world renown Jazz recording artist and founding member of the Blackbyrds, Kevin Toney and with such notable Jazz and R&B musicians as the late Earl "Big Juicy" Johnson, Glen Pearson of the Count Basie Orchestra, Yancie Taylor, Vibes and his Jazztet, mentors: Rose Gales and Howlett Smith, Jerrell Ballard, Mike Alvidrez, Randall Fisher, Rayford Griffin, Sal Crocker and Ranzel Merritt, Sr. As a singer songwriter, Liz has placed her signature stamp on originals “Ancestors Call” and “Day by the Bay (in LA)” with the Late Prince Lasha and New York based Impresario, Rudi Mwongozi. She also has the ability to create Jingles and Corporate samples.
Liz sang with Paula West at the Razz Room in San Francisco (currently known as Feinstein’s at the Nikko) along with the late George Mesterhazy (Arranger/Accompanist for Shirley Horn), Ed Cherry (Guitarist with Dizzy Gillespie Quartet & Big Band), Barak Mori (Bassist) and the late Tony Reedus, (Drummer with Woody Shaw).
In 2022, Liz was awarded a Jazz Roads Tour grant for her "Jazz in the Time of Corona experiential concert tour. September 2019, Liz was nominated as Best Female Jazz Artist at the Los Angeles Black Music and Film Awards (Black Music Association-BMA).
Influenced by Sarah Vaughn, Shirley Horn and Carmen McCrae, Liz Whitted Dawson’s live recording debut "Liz Whitted Dawson Jazztet - Live at the World Stage" was co-produced with by the late Kevin Toney.
