Shannon Lock is a classically trained violinist from Maryland who has experience with special events and session work. With Bachelor and Masters degrees from the College-Conservatory of Music at UC, she has developed a wide range of repertoire and skills to create a unique atmosphere at your special event. Shannon has played weddings, memorial services, holiday parties, and more. She has an extensive network of musicians and can organize any group of musicians for your event! She is a Grammy nominated session musician and has the skills to help add a lush string sound to your next album or recording project. Shannon loves to branch out, so don't hesitate to make requests!
Shannon was so sweet and easy to work with. She already had a few genres of songs ready to work with which I appreciated so I didn’t have to come up with a playlist. And for my walk down the aisle she learned the song I wanted. Highly recommend!

Shannon Lock, an active performer and teacher in Cincinnati, is a graduate of University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. At CCM, Shannon earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She is a violinist in the 4-Way Quartet and teaches in Cincinnati through the Ben Carlson-Berne Scholarship Fund as well as her private studio. She has played with a wide range of ensembles in the Midwest and has performed at special events for over six years. Shannon has interest in music outside of the classical realm and has recorded on jazz, rock, pop, and fusion albums. She also performs in a collective featuring new music called New Downbeat.
