Luminous Jazz will deliver a professional, elegant, and heartfelt experience to your event, delivering a polished performance in a range of styles, including swing, bossa, ballad, and pop; and dressing the part, with a timeless classic look customized to the theme or colors associated with the event. Customers choose the format and tone they desire for their event - from a full attention-getting "concert" style, where the band is the focus; or a high-energy dance mix, inviting guests to the dance floor; or a soft intimate background style, with the volume kept low, as part of the backdrop for a quieter event. The full 4-piece band consists of jazz vocals/piano; drums/percussion; tenor sax, and guitar/bass. Customer chooses either the full band, or a smaller trio or solo (vocal/piano) option. Luminous Jazz will provide just the right music to help bring your dream event to life.
Luminous Jazz began with 4 players who met in a jazz workshop in Salt Lake City. After building a robust jazz repertoire, the band began performing at various community events, private parties, and holiday gatherings.
Luminous Jazz now has a full Christmas holiday set available, as well as its regular song set. Both the holiday and regular sets include classic jazz tunes in a range of styles including bossa, swing, ballad, pop, and soul. Depending on budget, customer preference, and event needs, Luminous Jazz can be booked as a whole band, as a trio, or as a solo act (vocal/piano.)
