DONT BOOK CJ!!!! Ruined my son’s bday. We booked CJ a month half ago, signed a contract for my son’s bday party today. He was schedule to preform from 3-4. THE WHOLE party theme was based off this magic show.. around 230p we still hadn’t heard from him. We texted him 15 min before the show was supposed to start and he responds, “ can’t make it.”. like was he ever going to tell us? ANY heads up would have been nice to try to think of a back up plan but 15 min before us reaching out to him and him letting us know he can’t make it is super unprofessional on so many levels. Don’t risk it with this guy. Plenty of reliable magicians in the valley that have great communication skills. CJ isn’t it!

I’m so very sorry for disappointing you and the kids. I had a family medical emergency come up at the very last minute and was unable to make the party. Ordinarily, I would have notified you with enough time to find a replacement but the situation did not permit. My text message did state family emergency but it was not within enough time to remedy the situation. My profound apologies. I would be happy to make it up by providing a free show and/or magic lesson. I understand if you are not wanting this due to the situation, however, the offer is there. I value each and every client and I’m very sorry that this happened. You and your family planned for this and are understandably angry and frustrated, I would be as well. If there’s any way I can make it up to you at no cost, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Again, I apologize.
Prior to our event C.J. Was in communication. He arrived promptly moved right into our group and begin charming our guests with his
very professional tricks. Our group was very informal and he adjusted his demeanor to fit our occasion. In fact one of the guests hired him on the spot.
I have hired CJ twice now to perform close up magic shows. The first time at my birthday party, and the second time for a girls night in. On both occasions, he was performing to a room full of skeptics who weren’t sure why I had dragged them to watch a magic show. And both times, it was truly magical to watch their faces change from skepticism to wonder. CJ is so talented, and even though you know it’s not really magic, it doesn’t stop it being really impressive. He’s also really personable, and a pleasure to have in your home. I definitely recommend hiring him if you want to do something a little different.
CJ was an extreme professional. He was very flexible with scheduling (had to change the date and time 2x) The magic show was for my 7-year-old daughter's birthday, but I must say the adults were more entertained than the kids haha! He even stayed after the show for another half hour and entertain the kids more with different magic tricks after the show ended. I highly recommend CJ. I can't say enough good things about CJ! We had a small birthday party in our home for my 11 year old son. When I contacted CJ for bookings, I thought it was a long shot for a professional magician to do such a small party that was so far away, but he was very responsive and so kind. When he arrived, he hit it off with the kids right way... even my husband was laughing :) He instinctively knew how to interact with everyone there... from the 2 year old all the way up to us adults. Needless to say the kids (and adults) were amazed at his performance and they were so grateful to be included in the tricks. CJ also took the time to do a special trick just for the birthday boy.
