Jazz standards, and Swing era 20's/30s/40s easy listening music for birthday parties, corporate events, weddings and swing theme parties.
Dancing or background music, nostalgic fun and upbeat.
Thanks for checking out my profile. Six string banjo/singer, violin and percussionist. I play swing, oldies and New Orleans jazz covers. Songs like "Summertime, “When the Saints Comes Marching in” All of Me” etc.
Marcus was very engaging while onstage. The crowd was on their feet for many songs. The evening was thoroughly enjoyable. Thank You
Marcus
Response from Marcus Magellan:
Thank you for your kind comment, maybe just a little bit too kind LOL, but you and your wife are very nice people and I appreciate it, thanks!! Also, you make an excellent barbecue steak. 😄
Marcus performed the right music for our new house party, he began his first set with a
mellow tone while we dined, as the party got underway he picked up the pace with
upbeat dancing music and classic swing favorites.
I used to be a clarinet player, and I think his instrumental ability and sense of chordal
harmony is phenomenal. He plays his six-string banjo with incredible technique and taste.
Marcus was pleasant and our guests really enjoyed themselves.
Response from Marcus Magellan:
Thanks for inviting me into your lovely new home, hope to see you again.

Marcus Magellan has been playing music since he was nine years old. Although Marcus came to the United States at the age of two, he originated from the land of music itself, Brazil. Exposed to all kinds of music and played guitar for many bands, Marcus brings years of playing experience and wide musical influence to his interpretation of smooth jazz, early jazz and swing.
Caught somewhere between ragtime and upbeat funk, his instrumentals and vocals evoke the early days of American swing music, with a swing revival style all his own, his duo consist of banjitar and percussion.
