Marissa is such a kind, genuine soul. She was prompt, and despite having a foot injury, was cheerful and excited to play our park event. I received numerous compliments from my guests about her voice and song selections. She even played musical chairs with some of the kids who attended. I would definitely book with Marissa again in a heartbeat.
Thank you Marissa for an amazing performance!! Highly recommend
Response from Marissa Hollenback:
Thank you Victoria!!!
Marissa was on time and did a very professional job. We will book her again.
Response from Marissa Hollenback:
Hi Ellen! Just getting to know how this site works and wanted to thank you for your kind review. Hope all is well!
Marissa was a joy to work with. She played at our trade show cocktail party and created a terrific ambiance, was bubbly and even engaged our customers throughout her set. She was a lovely voice and many people commented how great the music was. To top it all off, Marissa wrote a song about our company and our event - she really went the extra mile and I would hire her again/recommend her many times over.
Response from Marissa Hollenback:
Thank you so much, it was a pleasure working with you all! Love my Chicago group!
Marissa was great! She put on an amazing performance. I would highly recommend her!!
Can I just say how amazing Marrisa is. Not only was she sweet enough to accept my need for a musician on such short notice but she has a beautiful voice. Our party wouldn't have been the same without her. I had so many family members ask me where I found her. Good luck to you Marissa and I will make sure to keep you in mind for our future events.
Marissa was fabulous! She reponded quickly to all my requests. I wanted to surprise my sweetheart on Valentines Day with a rock song. She arrived on time at his place of employment and sang “Crazy Little Thing About Love” by Queen. Although he was embarrassed he said Marissa made him a legend at work!!!! Thanks for helping me make his day special. I highly recommend Marissa!
Marissa has a lovely voice, and is very talented. We were all mesmerized by her singing. She engaged our guests and made our party quite memorable. We would hire her again and again!!
Response from Marissa Hollenback:

Hiring Marissa is like hiring an old friend...who's not THAT old! She's not only an engaging and dynamic performer, she is extremely professional, dependable, reliable and punctual. She will show up early, do an amazing job engaging your guests, friends and family, work the room and awe them with her voice. She has a list of over 200 cover songs for you and your friends to choose from. You just tell her what to play and the human juke box will play it! She is very welcoming, and strives to make each person feel like they are getting a special, intimate performance, just for them.
Small town girl...BIG VOICE! Marissa dreamed of living in California as a child. So, in 2006, she packed up her life into her car and drove the Historic Route 66 to Los Angeles. Since then, she has performed at The Viper Room, The Key Club, Harvelle's, Fais Do Do, (to name a few) and is currently a Principal Musician for Norwegian Cruise Lines. With the help of Kickstarter, Marissa was able to record her debut album! Things We Leave Behind is an eclectic collection of original music, old and new that takes the listener on a journey back in time...to the days when talent, powerful vocals and intimate lyrics ruled the world. You get her entire personality in this collection, from heartbreaking lyrics to funny, explicit, soulful and most importantly, honest. She is looking forward to performing in Long Beach, CA soon! Don't miss her captivating voice and engaging stage presence. Most fans say Marissa makes them so welcome, they feel like they're listening to an old friend in their living room. She makes audience members an interactive part of her shows and is even training to hold the world record for holding a note! (Current time is 38 seconds!) Be there when she breaks the 52 seconds record!
Marissa will need 1/2 to 1 hour to set up and perform a closed sound check. She does prefer to be lit, so that the guests can see her perform. She drinks room temperature water throughout the show and it's helpful if someone can refill her glass when needed so she can keep entertaining. She has her own equipment and can be as loud or quiet as you'd like. While she can be a background music, she prefers to be able to interact with guests and create a personalized experience. She can also perform with her band, Marissa and The Hollenbacks as a 5 piece, or a duo/trio if preferred.
