Martin Eagle is a jazz pianist and composer with a number of highly praised CDs featuring original compositions and a variety of ensembles of virtuoso musicians and vocalists.
I hired Martin as a trio for our dinner event. Unfortunately the bass player didn’t show up, so it ended up just being Martin on keys and his drummer. The explanation to me was that his scheduled bass player double booked and ended up finding a replacement for the group, being the daughter of the original bass player. The fill in bass player was given the wrong information from the original bass player and ended up going to the wrong place. Hence the bass player never arriving to our event.
With that said, it was out of Martin’s control and he was very apologetic about it. He offered a refund to help remedy the situation. Which I very much appreciated. In the end, Martin and his drummer Dan did an incredible job. I didn’t accept the refund and would definitely hire Martin again for another event.
