I provide an intimate musical experience for my audience. I do well in a coffeehouse or house concert scene, or basically with anyone who is interested in paying attention to the lyrics of a song (but who might also enjoy getting up to dance from time to time). I have heard "you should write for Disney" more times than I can count at this point, a compliment I happily take! I'm deeply influenced by a number of singer-songwriters and folk musicians especially, despite my lack of stringed instrument.
Creative, quirky, and cathartic, Mary Casielloʼs genre-bending piano-pop offers something for everyone. Her music has received favorable comparisons to that of Sara Bareilles, Billy Joel, Ben Folds, and Carole King. Mary has been a frequent face in the Boston-area music scene, sharing stages with Olivia Brownlee, Kristen Ford, Abbie Barrett, Gretchen and the Pickpockets, and Jugghead Band. Her songwriting has also taken her into the theatre world, including a collaborative effort with author and playwright E. Christopher Clark on a "play with music in it", The Piano of Death, and arrangement work for playwright Cee Campbell on her apocalyptic musical, Fire and Ice. Mary is passionate about advocating for mental health issues and mothers in the arts. She hopes her next project will be an all-female cover band of The Police called Sting Ops.

“Mary Casiello should be a famous songwriter for Disney or Pixar.... Positive energy in spades... a wonderful voice... just plain likeable.” -- Brian Carroll, Red Line Roots
Note: While I have a keyboard, if a well-tuned piano or quality keyboard is present, I'd rather use that, as my rig is rather heavy. I'll also gladly use any other mics, cables, etc., you might have.
What I have:
-Yamaha CP-33 keyboard
-keyboard stand
-SM-58 microphone
-microphone stand
-large amp with inputs for microphone and keys (sound levels suitable to small room)
-XLR (mic) cable
-2 1/4" male-to-male (keyboard/guitar) cables
What I need:
-a PA or other sound system to plug into
-super-long cables if the stage is sizeable
-electricity if using a keyboard (mine won't work without it!)
