Matt Banks Quartet
- Garland, TX
- Jazz Band
- Travels up to 90 miles
- $600 and up
Overview
I play jazz (and Bluegrass, brass band music, and light classical music), at the highest level I possibly can, and perform with frequency throughout DFW, at venues like Scat Jazz Lounge, The Free Man, Zin Zen Wine Bistro, the Dallas Arboretum and more! I can play in any format from duo to large ensemble (6+ players) and aim for flexibility and accessibility in every way I perform!

Matt played at our wedding. It was an outdoor rustic type event and he absolutely nailed it. Extremely easy to work with, communication was great, and pricing was more than fair. I still have family and friends who talk about his performance! Highly recommend

About
Hello! My name is Matthew Banks, and I'm a Dallas based Jazz clarinetist. While clarinet (all sizes) is my primary, I also play all saxophones, oboe, and bassoon. Jazz, especially trad/early jazz of the 20s and 30s is my first love, but I also play Polka, Klezmer, Latin Jazz, Fusion, and pop music. I can perform in any format from solo to big band, and cherish every opportunity providence gives me to blow my horn! I look forward to working with and for you, for whatever your musical needs may be
Additional Booking Notes
A sound system is nice but not required. If a large sound system is required but not provided an additional fee may be requested. I have a heavy preference for spaces that have an acoustic, baby grand, or grand piano on site, but this is not required. I tend to run my own sound but will happily work with any sound tech
