Matthew Steven Payne is better known to family and friends as Stevie. He is the third child of four children. His interest in music was sparked traveling with his mom at a young age to her rehearsals. The first instrument he started to play was the drums and realizing that he wasn't as good as his sister, he quickly went on to other instruments. During his 10th grade he got into the marching band playing the trombone. He continued playing the trombone as his primary instrument in college at Grambling State University where he traveled the U. S. playing in commercials, a halftime show for the super bowl and other NFL games. During his years at Grambling, he studied audio engineering and began to make tracks for local artist. After leaving there, he has engineered and produced for several South Florida indie labels. His life’s goal is to strive for the highest in everything he does.

I own a fretless, an acoustic electric as well as a six string bass so that I can function no matter the occasion.
