Mayila

Mayila is dedicated to creating special experiences for every event she takes part in. She usually performs with a four piece band including keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums but depending on the venue and audio requirements; this is subject to change. As far as the material performed; she is versatile and sings what is required. You can expect a stellar performance.

Currently residing in Washington, D.C., Mayila Jones is a professional soprano with many years of training and performance experience. She has a stunning voice and a stellar stage presence to match.

Mayila began studying music starring in many musical theater productions including The Wiz (Miss One), Grease (Eugene), and Hairspray (Little Inez) with various theater companies.

She then attended the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. studying classical voice professionally. Many doors were opened as a member of the Ellington Show Choir in which she was allotted the opportunity to perform with Patti LaBelle, Earth, Wind and Fire, Maroon 5, and also perform for President Obama, the First Lady, and VP Joe Biden. As a college student, Mayila continued her classical training at George Mason University.

She has performed at many events including weddings and is lending her services to more platforms. Mayila, a dedicated and talented young singer is eager to create a memorable experience for your next event.

Lighting and staging is dependent upon what is required at the time of the event.
